I remember when Lynn and I were in Camp Fire Girls together. We had a lot of fun.

Lynn was one of my first friends after I started at Goodman School (fall 1955 or '56, fourth grade). We stayed friends; through grade school and junior high we were together all the time; days at the Field Club, riding bikes, sleepovers...I remember baking my birdthday cake at her house (her mother supervising)--somehow their oven died, the cake did not bake; we mixed up another--Lynn's dad had to go without hot dinner and coffee that night as he headed to his evening job, but they were all good-humored about it.  And the time she and I ate a whole quart of ice cream at one sitting, two spoons.

She was energetic, capable, pushed me to do things I didn't think I could do and was patient when it took me a long time to do them (read: anything involving running, swimming, climbing).  She was loyal to her sisters and her friends. I regret that most of what is in her obit I did not know about her; we could have shared more.

Lynn was a great gal, for sure. Our Moms were friends, and Mrs. Wehlau made a costume for me for one of the Corral shows! Great fun. Always hard to read of an old friend's passing. God bless her and her family!

I hold my breath every time I open the Memoriam notification. I let out a groan when I read Lynn's name. Lynn dated a good friend of mine in high school and it was through that relationship that I got to know Lynn. She was a fun gal and tried to explain the intracacies of doing the butterfly stroke in swimming. The two of them came to look at a model home that I designed and built in sophmore Home Design class and they promised I could design their future home. Some of our dreams and plans happen and some do not. That one didn't quite work out but from the sound of it, Lynn lived a very active and full life and she left this world a better place...but too soon.

I met Lynn in 6th grade, and we became and remained best friends for our entire lives.  We were in each other's weddings, joined the same college sorority, and although years could pass with little more contact than Christmas Cards, when we did manage to be together, we 'picked right up where we left off''.

So many happy memories that I treasure.  I miss you so much, Lynn.
